IVF Treatment Process in India
is divided into following 4 steps:
1. Ovulation induction: The
first step of IVF Process in India is to stimulate the ovaries by giving
the medications to control the egg ripening time and also to increase the
chances of collecting multiple eggs during one IVF cycle. Multiple eggs are
collected as some eggs are not developing or fertilize properly after the
retrieval. The development of the eggs in the ovaries will be monitored by
using ultrasound and blood test samples are taken to check hormone levels.
2. Egg Retrieval: During
the next step in the IVF Process in India, your doctor will give you some
medications to reduce the pain and discomfort. Then a hollow needle will pass
through the upper vaginal wall. The eggs are removed from the ovaries using a
hollow needle. Some women may experience the cramping on the retrieval day.
3. Fertilization: The
third step in the IVF Process in India is the fertilization of the egg.
From your partner or from the donor the sperm sample will be taken and the most
active sperm will be mixed with the egg in the laboratory. The single sperm is
directly injected into the egg in an attempt to achieve fertilization. The eggs
will then monitor to confirm the fertilization. Once this occurs, the
fertilized eggs are considered embryos.
4. Embryo transfer and
Implantation: The last step in the IVF Process in India is the embryo
transfer. In this step, the embryos are examined and the healthiest embryo will
be transferred to the women uterus to achieve the pregnancy. The transfer
process involves a speculum which is inserted into the vagina and the embryos
are transferred via the small plastic tube placed through the cervix into the
uterine cavity. This process is often guided by ultrasound. The procedure is
usually painless; however, some women may experience mild cramping.
